Christ Reigns

So I was almost finished writing this post when somehow it all got deleted!! grrr. Anyway, before I get to breakfast I'll quickly make another summary of our fabulous day.

After a good breakfast at the hotel we headed off to our bus. The ride to the Convention Center was awesome.. Although we made a couple of circles it was nice to see some of the city. When we got to the HUGE center we waited for a little with other groups (many of which had crazy hats) before they let us upstairs and into the "Reign Forest".

We walked around the "Reign Forest" all day.. talking to a lot of great people (including Popple!) and getting a lot of free stuff (YAYYY!! :) ). During the day we went to an outdoor area that was AMAZING (it had space heaters on the ceiling! and the seat cushions were also heated) where we watched Popple perform. We ate a quick dinner, went to one of the coolest masses I've ever been to with a deaf priest. Then we finally went to the opening ceremony of NCYC. WOOO.

Even though we were in the extra room ("overflow") it was an amazing experience. With a lot of singing, dancing, cheering, and tons of love NCYC 2009 has finally begun...

As was said many times last night "We are many, but we are one". Over 23,000 people and 1,000 volunteers coming together to celebrate the love of God. So far the experience has been beyond amazing and I hope I'm at least somewhat relaying that to you all.
